Regional Meeting Travel Grants

APPLICATION FOR FUNDING ASSISTANCE TO ATTEND AAPA REGIONAL MEETINGS

All constituent organizations are encouraged to send representatives to one of the five AAPA Regional Meetings that are held in rotating geographic locations on an annual basis. All constituent organizations officially recognized by AAPA are eligible to apply for financial assistance, in the form of a Regional Travel Grant, to attend an AAPA Regional Meeting. All requests for funding must be made using this form. The deadline for submission is at the discretion of the individual regions.

Applicants are not guaranteed funding. The number and amount of the regional meeting travel grants vary from region to region. The total amount available varies annually based on the funding in the region's escrow account. This money primarily comes from proceeds generated from past regional meetings. All funding applicants will be notified in writing of the decision. The process and procedures followed are individually determined by a consensus of each region's representatives and administered through their AAPA liaison, the CRC regional representative. In general, funds are granted based on financial need, current and potential leadership activity, and any special chapter/organizational development needs. Please provide as much information as possible so that the committee can make fair and informed decisions.

For further information, please contact Sue Curtis, staff advisor, Constituent Relations Committee (CRC), at 703/836-2272, ext. 3318, or your CRC regional representative.

Incomplete applications will not be considered.
