Texas PTA continually strives to provide effective and efficient service and support to our PTA leaders and members. The submission of minutes is no longer required. The Bylaws Made Easy Checklist should be submitted in place of the entire bylaws document.
Standing Rules must be submitted if your PTA has them. These will be reviewed and a copy kept on file at Texas PTA. If your PTA amended Standing Rules only, you still must submit your Bylaws so the reviewer can ensure that your proposed Standing Rules do not conflict with your bylaws.
Bylaws are reviewed and approved by volunteer members of the Texas PTA Bylaws Committee. Upon approval, a copy of the bylaws will be returned to the submitter with an approved date stamp. Standing Rules are reviewed by volunteer members of the Texas PTA Bylaws Committee, but are not approved and do not include an official approved date stamp. Suggestions made be made to ensure compliance with PTA policies, procedures and bylaws.
Please contact one of the Bylaws Committee members or Texas PTA Member Services Department if you have questions.
