A Low User plan is only available for your main residence. Holiday homes and other separate connections (such as pumps or sheds) are not eligible.

If your household uses less than 8000/9000* units of electricity in a year, the Low User plan could save you money. You pay a lower daily fixed charge than on a standard plan, but a higher unit cost. This means you spend less money on electricity, as long you continue to use less than 8000/9000* units a year. If your usage is close to 8000/9000* units then it probably won't make much difference which plan you're on - you'll pay about the same.

What if I sign up to the Low User plan and then use more than 8000/9000* units in the next year?

If you sign up and then use more than 8000/9000* units, you will probably end up paying more for your electricity than you would on a standard plan.

If your circumstances are likely to change, for example you've got a new baby on the way or you're expecting more people to be living with you, your electricity usage is likely to increase. If there are fewer people in your house or you have installed non-electric heating or insulation, then your usage may decrease.
