The Vikings Soccer Academy is a new developmental soccer program designed for and open to U8 and U9 Vikings League recreational players. The purpose of the Academy is to provide young soccer players with a high quality training program. Training and curriculum will be overseen by Jeffery Wilson. The Academy is designed for boys and girls who love soccer and are looking for developmental opportunities in addition to their practices with their fall team. The Academy is looking for players who are committed to developing their soccer skills and are mentally and emotionally ready to benefit from a structured technical training environment.
WHO IS ELIGIBLE: Any U8 or U9 girl or boy participating in the San Francisco Vikings Youth Soccer League (recreational - NOT Upper House division)
DATES: September 14-November 20 = Training sessions per age group, 1 training session per week.
U8's: Mondays, 4-5:30 PM at Christopher Field in Diamond Heights
U9's: Thursdays, 5-6:30 pm at South Sunset Field
COST: $120 per child, scholarship available (for qualified applicants)
TRAINERS: Jeffrey Wilson and coaches that he has worked with and hired. Ratio: 1:10, trainer to player ratio.
WHAT TO BRING? A soccer ball, water bottle, cleats, shin guards, sweatshirt
HOW DO I REGISTER? Fill in this online form, print it, hit "next" button, then sign the printed form. Mail the signed form to Vikings League Academy, 2521 Judah Street, SF, CA 94122, along with your $120 check, payable to Vikings League.
Due to space constraints, the Academy is limited to 80 players per age group. All applications with payment are due to the Vikings office by June 10th (this has been extended until Aug 1). Families will be notified via email by June 12 and then again by Aug 5. It is first registered/paid first served. If more than 80 players apply and submit payment per age group, those players will be put on a waitlist. If space opens, waitlisted players will be chosen at random. Payments are non-refundable after September 13, 2009. Checks will be destroyed for children who are not accepted into the academy due to space limitations.
