Getting started

To edit a form in your account, click a form's "Edit" link from the My Forms page or use the "Form Editor" menu option.

The Form Editor consists of two main sections: the item section on the left, and the form section on the right. The item section lists the items available to add to your form. The form section is a What You See Is What You Get (WYSIWYG) view of the items currently on your form.

The Form Editor uses a drag and drop interface. New items can be dragged and dropped from the list on the left, or existing items can be dragged and dropped to reposition them. When dragging an item, move it over the edge of an existing item. A dotted line will appear indicating the position where it will be inserted. You can place multiple items on a single line, but if there is not enough room, the item may appear to wrap to the next line.

Add a new item

Move your mouse over the item list on the left side of the Form Editor. As you move your mouse over each item in the list, a preview box will appear with a additional information. Items are organized by categories; you can expand/collapse a category by clicking on its heading.

Locate the item you wish to add and move your mouse cursor directly over it. When the item becomes highlighted, press and hold your mouse button, a blue placeholder box will appear beneath the cursor to indicate that it has been picked up. Continue to hold the mouse button and drag the placeholder over an existing form item. Position the item so that it touches an edge of the existing item, a dashed line and a green checkbox icon will appear to indicate that the position is valid. Release the mouse button. If the placeholder was dropped in a valid location, the new item will be inserted and its settings page will appear. If the placeholder was dropped in an invalid location, the item will not be inserted.
