Formsite Release Notes and Payment Updates
See Formsite’s newest completed projects as soon as they happen on the new Release Notes page. Our blog adds articles for new features and updates to the software, and this page documents those changes. Find our new Release Notes page from the link at the bottom of our support pages.
An example of our newest updates includes the updates to our payment process and buttons. The new PayPal Business integration provides PayPal’s newest Smart Buttons and makes it easier than ever to collect payments.
The newest PayPal change includes their new Smart Buttons function for PayPal Business accounts. The Smart Buttons checks your PayPal account and displays the correct buttons based on your account settings. The buttons may include:
- Pay with PayPal
- Credit and debit cards
- PayPal Credit
- Pay in 4
- Local bank and credit card companies
Depending on your organization’s location and settings, your form may display unique payment options. For example, customers around the world may see options for:
- SOFORT in many EU countries
- Bancontact in Belgium
- BLIK in Poland
- eps in Austria
- giropay in Germany
- iDEAL in The Netherlands
- Mercado Pago in Brazil, Mexico
- MyBank in Italy
- Przelewy24 (P24) in Poland
More Payment Updates
To accompany the new PayPal buttons, Formsite updated the display of the Pay By Check and other Credit Card buttons. The new styles let form owners with order forms show a more current and mobile-friendly Order Summary page.
Besides the new PayPal Business enhancements, PayPal users with personal, PayFlow and Website Payments Pro accounts can continue using their integrations as before. While we recommend making the switch to the new PayPal Business integration, technically you can still use the PayPal Pro integration. PayPal Pro and PayPal Personal continue to use the previous integrations and do not give access to the Smart Buttons.
